Skin
care Products
Our skin is the front line defense in our daily fight against pollution and other environmental irritants, so we need to protect and reinforce it with extra care. Aloe Vera, whose most traditional use as a natural remedy is to soothe the skin, is an ideal defense. We have designed unique and varied products that work naturally by moisturizing and providing essential nutrients and vitamins to the skin. Our skin care products can help protect the skin against the environment’s harsh effects, and are reinforced with the International Aloe Science Council Seal of Approval.
Our Skin
The skin is our largest organ. Its soft protective tissues help maintain body moisture and temperature. The skin is composed of three layers: the epidermis, dermis and hypodermis.
The subcutaneous layer, hypodermis, connects the skin to the tissue, and is located over muscle and bones. It is largely comprised of vessels, nerves, and fat lobules. As you grow older, the fatty tissue is absorbed by the body. Thus the skin loses softness with the formation of wrinkles.
The dermis or second layer contains blood vessels, nerves, hair follicles, sweat and oil glands. It also contains filbroblasts which are essential in providing elasticity and suppleness to the skin. Two items within this layer are collagen and elastin, which give the skin its firmness and suppleness. This layer is essential for cell growth and cell renewal process.

The epidermis is the top or uppermost layer of the skin. The body is constantly producing new skin cells in a process that begins underneath the epidermis and pushes upward. In about 21-28 days these cells appear on the outer horny layer and form the visible part of the skin. These new cells are called keratinocytes, which form the horny layer.
The skin's two aging processes are natural biological aging and secondary aging.
1. Natural biological aging is largely unavoidable and will vary considerably based on age, sex, and skin types. To counteract natural aging, one has to provide the skin with moisturization, hydration, protection, nutrition, and stimulation.
2. Secondary aging is determined
by lifestyle, external and internal environment, pollution, sun, wind, and
temperature. These are the factors that
require specially formulated products to offset the damaging effects.
